Received the shiny, sleek, black openSUSE 11.0 box with a dual layer DVD, printed manual and two stickers 
It is openSUSE tradition that all the contributors receive a retail box for free, so if you want one, start participating in the project

Yes it is, but for the project contributors, see the link in the post to know how you can participate, you could get a retail box($60) shipped to you for free
