So…

Hey everybody. I finally got myself to continue my blog. :-) Thanks to Guillaume Seguin (”iXce”) for setting up the blog that fast.

First I would like to tell you a bit about what I’m currently working on. Well, I’m working on CCSM (Compiz Config Settings Manger) together with Guillaume to get an usable settings manager for so called “power users”. We plan to do a more simple version for the end users soon, so don’t worry. ;-)

In other news, we are currently prepairing for the 0.6.0 release which will be shipped in most major distributions. (Including Ubuntu, where its enabled by default wuhuu) For that reasons we are back porting importent bug fixes an improvements to the 0.6.0 branches. Which also means we need testers. That’s your chance to help us making 0.6.0 as stable as possible. So get the branches and submit correctly labeled bugs. Thanks!

In private live I’m currently busy at school. New school. New people. And yeah we have a lot of fun. :-)

Well its nice in a way to see a light one made . But I really disapionted that the great beryl-settings was duimped . It had a way better eaase of use layout etc than this ccsm . I wish it would be added back as an option to use . There is no reason that soemthign that is great should be dumped:( .I can’t stand the ccsm but I know there are for some reason people that like it. I’m staying with beryl for other reasons to of things that just don’t wortk (1 does in git) but still some bugs in git. The setting is important but I will not use somethign that is that horrible and frustrating to use . So I’ll stay with beryl.

Its like gconf(gnome lovers) kconfig(kde lovers) althou that it might be likely vise versa :D and file managers .compiz has 2 that can be used but the developers a refusing to do it and that is really sad . It reall does suck that a great setting manger is droped and a more cumbersion click click one is used . index in beryls is allways there making it quick to move around all tree parts are allways in the same window . top index ,left check boxes, right the tabs section . I used both the same anount of time and never had to ask how to set things in beryl-settings .id you want the tabs section you allways have to hit the back button then the next catagory you want . In beryll you do tyhat much quicker .
